I was not supposed to be on call over the Easter weekend...coz Yap had been so kind to let me have a free weekend...but another colleague took leave so i had to take over her call yesterday...i managed to go to church after morning round...though i only arrived when the service was almost over...and God has blessed me with the best call i've ever had...as far as my record goes...
I didn't get any casualty referrals the whole day...probably coz it was raining cats and dogs in the afternoon...so no patients came to the hospital...i managed to meet up with Yoke Yeow who came to KK to give some ENT talk...joined him for a good free lunch...hehe...then came home and slept...could hardly sleep though...coz the sound of the rain on the rooftop was too loud...
Anyway, i only got some referrals about 8pm...so went to the hospital to see them...i was thinking oh no, maybe the onslaught has started...but God is good...i was in the hospital till about 1030pm...then i came home, bathed and slept...till 6am this morning...no interruption at all...this has never happened before...really thank God...
Today was our full day OT...i scrubbed for 2 cases...the first and last...well, we only had 5 cases and everyone was scrambling over each other to scrub...Sharon was AM duty in OT...so we had a good chat while i wasn't scrubbed...and then Kean Khang was PM duty...it's always fun having him around...boss said something nice about me today...he was telling another boss that our unit's OT did not have any cancellation last month...and that was thanks to my effort...i felt very appreciated...:) nobody wants to be in charge of doing OT lists...quite the thankless job...but i'm glad boss appreciated my effort...
